Kevin DiMedio

Kevin DiMedio is an Associate Director of Forensics at Sync Forensics, providing digital forensics, incident response, and investigative consulting services to law firms and entities of all kinds. Mr. DiMedio specializes in Apple-device forensics and has collected, analyzed, searched, and remediated data from hundreds of Macs, iPhones, iPads, and iCloud accounts, leading small to large-scale investigation and remediation efforts. His casework spans employee departure reviews, theft and misappropriation of trade secrets, ESI remediation protocols, and cyber security threat assessments.

He is a Certified Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE) and Certified Forensic Mac Examiner (CFME) through IACIS, and a GIAC iOS and macOS Examiner (GIME) through SANS. Mr. DiMedio combines manual artifact parsing with industry-standard tools such as Magnet AXIOM and VeraKey, Cellebrite Digital Collector and Inspector, and Mac-APT, and his experience extends to dead-box forensics, Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace log analysis, dark web monitoring, eDiscovery data mining, and business email compromise. He helps clients achieve clarity on what the evidence reveals, and, in many instances, what it doesn't.
